Organization and co-organization of scientific events under the auspices of SRAIT – Iasi Branch

ICSTCC International Conference System Theory, Control and Computing – XXI editions (2017 – Sinaia), XX (2016 – Sinaia ), XIX (2015 – Fundata), XVIII (2014 – Sinaia), XVII (2013 – Sinaia), XVI (2012 – Sinaia), XV (2011 – Sinaia), XIV (2010 – Sinaia) – volumes of indexed works IEEE Xplorer (2014-2017), ISI Web of Science (2015–2017).

The conference brings together the following scientific meetings:

  • SINTES (International Conference on System Theory and Control) – organized by the Faculty of Automation, Computers and Electronics from University of Craiova
  • SACCS (International Symposium on Automatic Control and Computer Science) – organized by the Faculty of Automatic Control and Computer Engineering from “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iasi
  • SIMSIS (International Symposium on Modelling, Simulation and Identification Systems) – organized by the Faculty of Control Systems, Computers, Electrical and Electronics Engineering from “Dunarea de Jos” University of Galati
  • CONTI (International Conference on Technical Informatics) – organized by the Faculty of Automation and Computers, the Department of Automation and Applied Informatics and the Department of Computers and Information Technology from Politehnica University of Timisoara.

The conference is technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Control Systems Society, and the volumes of papers have been indexed in the years 2013, 15 and 16 of the ISI Web of Science.

Symposium Analysis of Images and Video Sequences. Theory and Applications, 24 March 2016, Iasi, dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the establishment of the Romanian Academy and 25 years since the creation of the Information Science and Technology Section.

Organising meetings and conferences with companies in the field

  • Collaboration between the SRAIT branch in Iaşi and businesses, research institutions, and business representatives has produced the following outcomes: student internships and scholarships, training programs, project partnerships, equipment, and sponsorships (Continental Automotive Romania, Centric, Cenit, Endava, Embarcadero, Danieli Engineering, Silicon Service, Delphi or IPA Bucharest, and United Business Center). Organization of postgraduate and improving courses

SRAIT members from Bucharest, Iași, Timișoara and Cluj-Napoca branches, teachers of the faculties of Automatic Control and Computer Engineering in these cities created a National Network of Consultancy and Human Resource Training Centers in the field of advanced automatic control, information technology and knowledge management, within the project POSDRU/81/3.2/S/53084 with the theme: “Increasing the competitiveness of enterprises through the improvement and specialization of human resources in the area of new technologies, in a society based on knowledge and for sustainable development“.

The National Network of Consultancy and Human Resources Training Centers organised, between October 2014 – June 2015, professional training courses in the fields of advanced automation, computer science and communications, knowledge management and the environment. The network also organized consulting and knowledge and technology transfer activities for business participants, managers at all levels or employees within state institutions.
