4. Cloud technologies, Big Data applications, and the Internet of Things.

Research directions

  • Cloud infrastructure to support the implementation of ICT applications and services by optimizing the allocation of computing power, storage space, and information access mechanisms;
  • Distributed platforms for Big Data and Data Mining, with a high degree of modularization, that expose Cloud services for web information retrieval, data processing, and visualization;
  • Design and development of digital equipment prototypes according to the Internet of Things (IoT) paradigm; integration services for these devices within Cloud infrastructures; Cloud services for dynamic discovery and invocation of IoT devices.
